Popit Wrap - Sling Hip Carry Instructions

	SLING HIP CARRY This carry is great if you have a curious baby/toddler who wants to see the world but doesn’t like to be facing forward in the wrap. It is better suited to baby’s who are able to sit up or at least has strong head control. This method is quick to put on, can also be done whilst holding baby, and baby can be pulled out and put back easily. To see video click here
		Step 1 Fold wrap in half at Popit logo. Place logo section over shoulder and put hand through as per illustration. Spread wrap flat over back bringing around to opposite waist.	Step 2 Pull wrap around to front and pull through wrap at shoulder with hand.

Step 3 You have now formed a pouch for your baby to sit in.	Step 4 Place baby at shoulder with one arm under their bottom and the other arm through pouch.	Step 5 Sit baby in pouch spreading it up over baby’s back. Pouch needs to be tucked as far into baby’s knees as possible so that baby is sitting in the pouch. Separate the two pieces that are threaded through the shoulder section into 1. the piece that is closest to baby and 2. the one that is on the outside.

Step 6 Taking the piece that is closest to baby spread it back over baby’s bottom and take it around to the back going between baby’s legs. Spread out over baby’s bottom.	Step 7 Take the second piece and pull it tight so that baby’s back is secure. It is best to have this piece going to the back so that you can easily tighten it if needed. You can either tie at the back or bring around to the front over babies outer leg so that it is going back between baby’s legs.		Step 8 If there is enough length you can tie at the front. Spread the fabric out over the shoulder to distribute the weight.
